  • A 2004 Housing Trends Report estimates that 3.7 million instances of housing discrimination occur annually

  • In contrast, the National Fair Housing Alliance reported that the total number of reports files was only 27,319

  • 31 percent of all housing discrimination complaints were based on disability

  • 26 percent of al housing discrimination complaints were based on race

  • 13 percent of all housing discrimination complaints were based on familial status
